myPetersfield is the site for what makes life worth living in this region. What’s new, what’s different, what’s original. What makes living in this area different from living in any other place in the UK.

The site promotes all that’s great about this region – a space which we roughly think of as reaching out as far as Haslemere in the north, Winchester in the west, Chichester in the south and Petworth in the east. In olden tymes, a day's tramp in every direction. Now, half an hour in your high-powered motorcar, assuming you avoid the A272.

Why here? For no better reason than that this is the region we know and understand, the region where we are. And because when you look past the franchises and the multinationals, the cookie-cutter high street stores, this really is a great place to live. Or better than you might have thought, for sure.

So: this site celebrates, and promotes, all that’s different, unique, original and just plain good about Petersfield and environs. It covers food – eating out and eating in – independent producers and retailers, listings, musicians and a bunch of other stuff in which, if you live here or you're passing through, you might be interested. It's frankly opinionated. It doesn't waste your time with anything which we consider to be dull and mediocre. It's small – it's only been going since the end of 2006 – but it's growing fast, largely on the back of our readership's input.

We like to think our opinions count for something but yours will count for a lot more. You don’t agree with what we say? You feel that some great local stuff is being overlooked? Let us, and everyone else who uses this site, know.
