planet boinng

excellent Petersfield-based community website. Blogs, forums, galleries and all kinds of other crazee stuff. Good people. Sign up, contribute. Recommended.

Knowhere Petersfield Slacker guide to the kind of stuff you're likely to be interested if you're under thirty and weighed down more by skateboard and guitar than family. Some funny stuff and worth a look. Rarely updated, the links especially (ahem). May have died, in fact. See also Knowhere Liss, Knowhere Midhurst and others, no doubt.
Freecycle Give away, and get stuff for free. Initiative to encourage the free distribution of unwanted gear that may be cluttering up attic, garage or house, or offer a home to someone else's clobber. Freecycle groups are setting up all over the country - this one covers Petersfield, Alton and Bordon.
pub is the hub Pub is the hub is devoted to extending the life of country pubs. HRH The Prince of Wales is right behind it, but that doesn't automatically make it a bad thing.

Wikipedia Petersfield And everything else, come to that...OK, it's not always 100% reliable but it's usually entertaining. It's the wisdom of crowds, and we're all for that !
Stonham Supported Lodgings Providing housing and support to disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Seeking 'supported lodgings householders' in the Petersfield area to provide room and support to a young person aged 16-21 who may either be a care leaver or homeless from a complete breakdown in their family relationships. In return for being a listening ear and helping the young person stay on track with their lives Stonham offer support and training for the Householders and pay £163 per week. It is very challenging but rewarding work that can help a young person completely turn their life around. If you're interested in finding out more then contact penny.diver@homegroup.org.uk or telephone 07725 958288.
Stiff Promotions Music promotions around the region, mainly at The Studio (TPS) and The Square Brewery in downtown Petersfield. Lots more down in Portsmouth and elsewhere too. Acoustic sessions, bands and blasts from the past for ageing punx and hipsters - Glen Tilbrook recently, Hugh Cornwell and Wreckless Eric in 2007 - a speciality.
Ladies Who Lunch in Hampshire Does what it says on the tin. Restaurant reviews, mostly in the south of the county... personal, opinionated and we do like that...

Petersfield Twinning Association Details of Petersfield's twin towns, Barentin in France and Warendorf in Germany and all the various to-ing and fro-ing.
Cheap petrol Well, all things are relative. But this is a terrific site for identifying, by postcode or place, the five cheapest petrol stations close to you. And while we're here, why does fresh air cost 50p for 3 minutes at the otherwise commendable Ramshill Esso station in Petersfield ? (little bit of campaigning activity for you there).

Hampshire Fare Promoting Hampshire food and producers.
Golden Valley Poultry Free range hens and free range eggs, pret-a-porter...

paul williams Website maestro, Paul generously contributed myPetersfield 's logo but can't be held responsible for the cackhanded and amateurish nature of the rest of the site - that's all our own work. If you fancy something a a little smoother yourself, Paul could be your man.
Ant Veal's Great Beer in Great Pubs Ant runs a great site, full of excellent reading about the kind of pubs myPetersfield likes to frequent. We venture that he has some catching up to do around here though...
BITE Or 'Beer in the Evening'. Our favourite pubs site. Opinionated (hurrah!) but pretty much on the money in our humble opinion.
Waiter Rant Bit of pithy fun. Good to be reminded occasionally that it's not necessarily all beer and cigarettes for the bloke handing you your menu.
Hantsweb Petersfield Hampshire County Council - your official local page.
Petersfield Round Table Friendship, fun and community for Petersfield chaps aged 18-45.
Petersfield Rugby Club Rugger for all - senior, junior, ladies... weary parents might like to note the Sunday  'clubhouse breakfast' option on the juniors' page...
